Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
  • Children never create accounts or type personal details. Only a grown-up can sign in.
  • Without signing in, everything stays on your device.
  • You can delete a child, or your whole account, from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

Chipi Play (chipiplay.com) is a learning app for children aged 3 to 7+, for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by a parent for their own children and shared with other families. Questions about this policy: exe.andy.yo@gmail.com.

Playing without an account

You can play without signing in. Stars, open levels, stickers, Chipi's pet corner (snacks found and eaten, the times of the last meal, bath, play and nap, Chipi's chosen outfit and accessories (hat, glasses, clothes, shoes and the like, with the time they were last changed) and the dates of the days Chipi was fed, used for his growth stage; copies made with earlier versions of the app can also hold the animal friends hatched and the chosen friend), Chipi Adventure (stars per chapter, finished stories and the math level) and the costumes and accessories bought with stars, and settings (voice and sound on or off) are saved only in your browser's storage on that device. They are not sent to us. Clearing the browser's data, or removing the installed app, deletes them.

What we store when a grown-up signs in

Signing in is optional. It is behind a small grown-ups-only question, and it lets progress be kept safe and shared across your devices. The grown-ups check asks for a year of birth, which is only checked on the device and is never stored or sent.

We do not collect children's photos, voices, locations, contacts, device identifiers or anything else. The app does not use the camera or microphone. We do not ask for a child's full name, age or birthday; please use a first name or nickname.

How we use it

Only to run the game: to sign you in, show the right child's progress, and keep it in sync. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or to contact you except to answer your own messages.

Who else is involved

We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and we only disclose it if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

Keeping it safe

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in sessions are stored only as one-way fingerprints, and each account can only read its own children's data.

Children's privacy

Chipi Play is designed for young children, so we keep data to the minimum needed. Only a parent or guardian can sign in and add children, and by doing so you consent to storing the information above for your child. This policy is written with children's privacy laws in mind, including Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU No. 27/2022), the US COPPA and the EU/UK GDPR.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
